Dr. Nada Wael AlMahmeed is a Specialist Endocrinologist with extensive clinical experience in endocrinology, diabetes care, metabolic health, and internal medicine. She provides patient-centred care for a wide range of hormonal and metabolic conditions, with a particular interest in diabetes management, diabetes technology, obesity, and complex endocrine disorders.
Dr. Nada obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Obstetrics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Bahrain. She completed her internship and Internal Medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, followed by advanced fellowship training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of British Columbia, Canada.
During her endocrinology fellowship, Dr. Nada gained comprehensive experience in the diagnosis and management of complex endocrine conditions, inpatient endocrine consultations, diabetes care, and metabolic diseases. She also contributed to the education and supervision of endocrinology fellows and Internal Medicine residents through clinical teaching, academic presentations, journal clubs, and departmental rounds.
Dr. Nada has participated in several research projects and scientific presentations, including work related to type 1 diabetes, diabetes camps, thyroid emergencies, and cardiovascular diagnostic testing. She has also contributed to published medical case reports in the fields of systemic lupus erythematosus and hereditary angioedema.
Prior to joining HealthPlus, Dr. Nada completed her Endocrinology and Metabolism Fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Canada. She previously worked as a General Practitioner and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
